Ellipse Laser Hair Removal

To achieve long lasting or permanent hair removal, it is necessary to destroy the hair follicle from which individual hairs grow. Laser hair removal uses controlled pulses of light these then penetrate the upper skin and are socked up by melanin - this is a natural chemical in the hair follicle.

Melanin converts the light energy into heat. This heat is then transferred to the follicle, destroying it and then making it unable to produce new hair. The treatment is only effective on growing hairs as these are still attached to the follicle. Meaning for lasting results a course of treatment will be required. The majority of our hair is in the resting phase, which explains why more than one treatment is necessary.

The light produced by our Ellipse Flex & Ellipse Light systems are carefully controlled and produce the correct pulse length whith the right amount of energy to destroy the follicle.

Permanent hair removal treatments can be undertaken as single treatments or as part of a course, we always recommend at least six treatments for the best results this is because hairs can be in different states of growth at any one given time.
